Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Intro Jobs FZE LLC operates intro.jobs, a video-first hiring platform for communication-heavy first jobs across the Middle East. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@intro.jobs.

2. What we collect

Account data: name, email address, phone number, sign-in method (email code, WhatsApp code, Google or Apple sign-in), language preference.

Profile data you enter: country and city, work authorisation and relocation answers, availability, education, work experience, languages, job preferences, and, only if you choose to add it, your gender. Gender is never inferred from your name, photo or video.

Your video intro: a video of up to 60 seconds that you record in the app, plus the processed copies we make so it plays on any device.

Your CV: the file you upload and the experience and education we extract from it to pre-fill your profile.

Activity data: jobs you apply to, screening answers, invitations, employer messages and your replies, shortlist and hire outcomes, support requests.

Employer data: company name, registration and verification documents, the people who use the company account, job postings and hiring activity.

Payment data for intro.jobs Plus: plan, currency, billing status and invoices. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.

Technical data: device type, app version, push notification token, IP address and basic request logs used for security and troubleshooting. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs.

3. Why we use it

To run the service: create your account, show you jobs, send your intro and profile to employers you apply to, deliver employer messages and invitations, and track outcomes.

To keep the platform safe: verify employers, detect abuse and fraud, enforce our Terms.

To communicate with you: sign-in codes, application updates, matching-role notifications, and support replies by email, push notification or WhatsApp. You control notifications in Settings.

To bill Plus subscriptions and comply with tax and accounting law.

To improve the product using aggregate, de-identified usage. We do not use your video, CV or messages to train AI models.

4. What we never do

We never score you as a person. Our systems assess job fit only, from the factual requirements a role lists, and never produce confidence, personality, emotion, culture-fit, face, voice or appearance scores.

We never infer your gender, ethnicity, religion or other sensitive traits from your name, photo, video or voice.

We never sell your personal data or share it with advertisers.

We never reveal to a candidate which employer viewed their profile or intro. Employer viewing is anonymous to candidates.

5. Who sees your data

Employers: when you apply to a job, the employer receives your intro, profile and screening answers. If you turn on "Show me in employer discovery" (a Plus feature), verified employers can also find your profile before you apply. You can turn this off at any time.

Candidates: employer users see candidate data only inside their own hiring workflow. Candidates see a company name and job details, never the identity of the person reviewing them.

Service providers acting on our instructions: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and email delivery), Stripe (payments), OpenAI (CV text extraction, with no training on your data), OneSignal (push notifications), Meta / WhatsApp (verification codes and message notifications), Google and Apple (sign-in). Each receives only what its function needs.

Authorities, when the law requires it, and successors if intro.jobs is acquired or merged, under the same commitments.

6. Where your data is stored

Our servers and storage run on Amazon Web Services in the European Union and the Middle East. Some providers listed above process data in the United States or other countries. When data leaves your country we rely on contractual safeguards with those providers.

7. How long we keep it

Your account, profile, CV and intros: for as long as your account exists.

Applications and employer messages: while the account exists, so that both sides keep a record of the hiring process.

Invoices and payment records: as long as accounting and tax law require.

Server logs: up to 90 days.

When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your profile, CV, intros, applications and messages within 30 days, except records we must keep by law. Copies of an intro already sent with an application are removed from the employer view at the same time.

8. Your rights and choices

Access, correct or download your data from Settings, or by writing to us.

Delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. We confirm the request with a sign-in code and the deletion runs automatically. You can also email us to ask for deletion.

Control notifications in Settings. Sign-in codes cannot be turned off because they protect your account.

Withdraw an application, remove an intro from your library, or turn off employer discovery at any time.

Depending on your country you may have further rights, such as objecting to processing or lodging a complaint with a data protection authority. Write to privacy@intro.jobs and we respond within 30 days.

9. Children

intro.jobs is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit. Videos, CVs and documents are stored in private buckets and served through short-lived links. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will tell you without undue delay.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will show the new date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
